Your profile is how casting agents find and consider you for supporting artist roles.
Completing and regularly updating your profile is essential to getting booked on film and TV productions.
Profile Essentials
You should complete as many of the fields on your profile as possible, as this will ensure you appear in more agent searches. Information on your appearance, experience, skills, wardrobe, languages, pets and vehicles will all help casting agents decide whether you’re the right fit for a particular role.
Note that casting agents will not be able to put you forward for a job if you haven’t provided your contact details, including your emergency contact.
When it comes to adding photos to your profile, it’s quality over quantity. When you sign up, you’ll need to provide a Main and Face photo. We recommend that you update these photos every six months (or if your look has changed) so casting agents know that they reflect your current look.
Other recommended photos include a no makeup photo, a side photo, a back-of-the-head photo and photos of your hands (palms up and palms down). It’s also a good idea to include photos of 1-2 additional looks, such as you in a formal outfit or uniform if you own one, as well as glasses-on and glasses-off photos if you wear glasses. Finally, add photos of any cars or pets which you own and are willing to work with. Be sure to read through our profile photo guide for more tips on what casting agents and productions look for.
Providing accurate clothing sizes and measurements is an essential part of getting booked as a supporting artist. Casting agents and production companies use your sizes when booking supporting artists for a particular character, as well as stand-ins and doubles who must match the principal actor. They're also used when production provides wardrobe. If you don't add this information to your profile, casting agents can't find you in searches when booking these types of roles.
